The difference

An Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) — your fire department — needs to know a building was inspected and what was found. Today that usually means you export a PDF, attach it to an email or re-key it into somebody else’s portal, and hope it landed.
When your AHJ is on Visilence
There is nothing to send, because there is nothing to move. The marshal reads the same record you wrote — who serviced the building, when, and what is due next — the moment you finish. You control which departments can see your work, and you can withdraw it.

Visilence does not log in to third-party AHJ portals on your behalf and never stores your credentials for one. Where a jurisdiction requires its own portal, you export and upload, and record the submission here — so the ledger tells the truth rather than asserting a delivery nobody confirmed.
